Groups
[to review] A group keeps together the expenses of several people: the flat with your housemates, a trip, a couple. Anyone in the group can be added to each of its expenses.
Create a group
- From Home tap + and choose New group.
- Enter the name and choose the currency.
- Add people with their email or phone number, or with a link (see Send an invite).
The currency
Every group has its own currency, chosen when you create it and never changed afterwards. An expense can be entered in another currency: the app converts it with the European Central Bank rate of the day of the expense.
Balances
The group shows what it has cost you and who owes whom. Balances stay separate: one for each group and one outside groups.
Simplify
In a group of three or more people, Simplify reduces the number of payments: the app works out who pays whom in the fewest steps. Nobody pays or receives more than before, only to whom changes. It is on in every new group and any member can turn it off or on again in the group settings.
A group or an expense outside groups?
For a loan or a dinner once in a while, an expense outside groups with someone in your contacts is enough. Once saved, the group of an expense can't be changed.
