Split expenses with roommates
In a shared house, costs come from everywhere: one person pays the bill, another does the supermarket run, a third buys the cleaning products. With Allotti everyone records what they paid and the app keeps track of who owes whom how much.

How it works
- Create a group for the house and add your roommates, even people who don't have the app yet: send them a link or show them the QR code.
- Whoever pays an expense records it in the group, split between everyone or only the people it's for.
- On the Home screen everyone sees how much they owe and to whom; when someone pays, they record it with Settle up and the balance is cleared.
A recurring expense, like the rent, you record once: when the day comes, the app asks you to confirm it.
An example with numbers
Three roommates: you, Luca and Sara. In one month:
- Luca pays the electricity bill, €90.00, split between all three: €30.00 each.
- Sara pays for the groceries, €45.60, split between all three: €15.20 each.
Everyone's share is €45.20. Luca paid €90.00, so Luca is owed €44.80. Sara paid €45.60, so Sara is owed €0.40. You didn't pay anything: you owe Luca €44.80 and Sara €0.40. €45.20 in total, your share.
When the cents don't divide exactly, the extra cent goes to one person and the total always adds up: the rules are in the FAQ.
