Split expenses as a couple
As a couple you don't always split down the middle: maybe the rent is split by what each of you earns and the groceries half and half. With Allotti you choose once how the group's expenses are split and change it only when you need to.

How it works
- Create a group for the two of you and invite the other person with a link or a QR code.
- In the group settings choose how expenses are usually split: half each, by percentage or by parts.
- On a single expense you can change the split without changing the group's.
- Expenses that are only yours you record outside the group: they stay yours.
An example with numbers
You and Giulia split the rent 60% and 40%, the groceries half each.
- You pay the rent, €1,000.00: your share is €600.00, Giulia's €400.00.
- Giulia pays for the groceries, €80.00, half each: €40.00 each.
Giulia owes you €400.00 for the rent and you owe Giulia €40.00 for the groceries: on the Home screen you only see the difference, Giulia owes you €360.00. When Giulia pays you, you record it with Settle up.
