Split travel expenses between friends
On a trip everyone pays for something: one person the hotel, another the dinner, a third the fuel. With Allotti everyone records what they pay, even from their phone in the queue at the restaurant: at the end of the trip you know who owes whom how much.
The trip, three days
Anna paid€100.00 each
You paid€28.00 each
Marco paid€20.00 each
You give Anna€64.00
Marco gives Anna€88.00
How it works
- Create a group for the trip and add everyone who's coming, even people who don't have the app yet.
- Each expense takes seconds to record, split equally or however you need. A receipt with different things on it can be split by lines: everyone pays for what they had.
- Abroad you record the expense in the local currency: the app converts it at the day's exchange rate.
- At the end of the trip you see how much it cost you and where the money went; with Simplify balances you settle up with as few payments as possible.
An example with numbers
Three friends on a trip: you, Anna and Marco.
- Anna pays for the hotel, €300.00, split between all three: €100.00 each.
- You pay for a dinner, €84.00, split between all three: €28.00 each.
- Marco pays for the fuel, €60.00, split between all three: €20.00 each.
Everyone's share is €148.00. Anna paid €300.00, so Anna is owed €152.00. You paid €84.00: you owe €64.00. Marco paid €60.00: Marco owes €88.00. Two payments are enough to settle up: you give Anna €64.00 and Marco gives Anna €88.00.
